I am a lifelong resident of Marshfield. My husband and I knew this was the best place to raise our family, and now my three kids—Kara, Ashley, and Ricky—are all married and live locally. My dedication to this town comes from years of living here, and now I have three grandchildren being raised in Marshfield as well. I’m lucky to help care for these little ones while my daughter works as a nurse at BID. My other grandson, who is just a year old, giggles all day long, and I get to watch him a couple of days a week. The past five years have blessed us with babies, and 2025 will be another special year!

I graduated from MHS in 1981 and earned a degree in Sociology from UVM (I love to ski, and Burlington was awesome). My siblings, cousins, and their kids were all raised in Marshfield, and they are a product of a hardworking family. I have been actively involved for decades in our family’s lumber business, John Foster Lumber, located here in Marshfield. We are constantly engaged in helping residents and supporting local projects that benefit our community. We have also been strong supporters of Grad Night Live, Eagle Scout projects, and have always stepped up in times of crisis.

My experience in running a business and my knowledge of finance, budgeting, estimating, human resources, taxes, and accounting are critical assets I bring to the table for our town. The Select Board is complex and requires hard work, an open mind, and a significant time commitment. To prepare for this role, one must truly understand the town and invest the time to learn about it. I served on the Zoning Board of Appeals from 2014 until I was elected to the Select Board in 2022. I guided this seven-member quasi-judicial board through the pandemic, adapting to Zoom and hybrid meetings. The town didn’t miss a beat—we formulated a plan, stuck to it, and worked through challenges to support residents and keep projects moving forward.

When my kids were in school here in Marshfield, I had a blast creating and building (thanks, Rick!) the Winter Wonderland Fundraiser at Eames Way. I spent countless hours volunteering as a coach for Youth Baseball and MHS Girls & Boys Tennis, and I was the President of the MHS Touchdown Club, which supported both the MHS Football team and MHS Cheerleaders. My love for sports along with my own experience in the Marshfield school system, fueled my desire to give back. Organizing the Marshfield Relay for Life and having kids sign a helmet with the name of a cancer survivor or loved one is a memory I cherish, along with simply sitting in the stands with friends and family, cheering on our teams.

Being born and raised here makes me a candidate who understands Marshfield’s past, all the great things we’ve accomplished, and the importance of protecting and building for our future. I have no political aspirations—I am doing this because I take this role seriously and am committed to putting in the time to serve. I will continue to maintain a fiscally responsible tax rate that delivers the services demanded by our residents for public safety, education and preserves our infrastructure. A balanced budget and strong bond rating are essential to keeping our schools, public safety, DPW, and town services strong.

A Commitment to Marshfield

Marshfield isn’t just where I live—it’s where I’ve built my life, raised my family, and dedicated my time to serving the community. With deep roots and a passion for public service, I am committed to preserving what makes our town special while working toward a stronger future.

  • Three generations of my family live in Marshfield, and I want to ensure a bright future for all of us.

  • Public service isn’t about politics—it’s about putting in the work. I’ve done that for years, and I’ll continue to do so.

  • Strong local businesses mean a strong community. I will continue to support and advocate for our small businesses.

  • From coaching youth sports to leading fundraisers, I’ve always been hands-on in supporting our kids.

  • Experience matters. Commitment matters. Community matters. I bring all three to the Select Board.
